Handbag/Accessories Development and Production Intern

Position Overview:

FEED is hiring a Development and Production Intern to work at the FEED HQ. To qualify for this internship, you must be a college student or recent graduate who is able to work out of our New York office 3 days/week. This internship offers you the chance to do meaningful work and help continually improve our products. You will work in an inspiring workplace, alongside industry professionals to facilitate the development and execution of bringing new bags and accessories to life.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Production Manager with front to back product development and production for all channels.
  • Some communication with vendors, being the point of contact for all incoming samples, swatches and materials.
  • Data entry and maintenance in Excel charts.
  • Issuing and checking SKU, UPC, and barcodes stickers.
  • Updating WIP reports as changes occur.
  • Dispatching packages.
  • Ensuring all packages are opened asap in the AM and distributed immediately
  • Organizing and keeping track of samples, bulk cuttings/approvals, and materials library.
  • Contribute to our product team meetings, share feedback, and new ideas.

 

An ideal candidate…

  • Has or is pursuing a degree in production or a fashion related field.
  • Has a general understanding of the development and production processes.
  • Is Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Thrives when she/he is working on multiple projects, with quick deadlines.
  • Can assist with mock ups, visual projects, updating tech packs.
  • Is equipped with excellent communication skills.
  • Has tons of creative and positive energy to contribute to a small team with large ambitions. 
  • Is proactive and exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.

 

Compensation:

College credit can be obtained if you personally arrange it with your institution. Recent graduates with a degree are eligible for an hourly wage.
